The Eighty-Fourth Meeting will be hosted online by Swansea University from:

Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd September, 2021

The lead panel of the Swansea conference will be on the theme German Futures, Future German/ies.

The online conference will be free of charge but you must be a member of the Association for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland. Find out how to become a member.  

All delegates who have registered for the conference via the online form should now have received the Full Conference Programme with Links and Abstracts by email.

AGS Conference Reports

The AGS President’s Report, a document containing reports from the Women in German Studies (WIGS), University Council of Modern Languages (UCML), German Screen Studies Network (GSSN) and the Forum for Germanic Language Studies (FGLS) and the Institute of Modern Languages Research (IMLR) organisations and networks, and the DAAD’s report can all be found below.

Members are invited to read these reports ahead of the conference and will have the opportunity to comment or ask any questions about any point raised at the Business Meeting on Friday morning.
